The Collected Series by Ilse van Stoltz
brings together a powerful and layered visual language shaped through intuition and material exploration. This body of work feels assembled over time, as if each piece carries the memory of where it has been. Large atmospheric paintings and smaller ceramic wall sculptures coexist within the same narrative field. Together, they form a collected world that speaks in fragments, textures, and gestures. The works embody a lived-in and slightly raw aesthetic, where imperfection becomes a quiet strength.  The series suggests souvenirs of moments that cannot be fully named but deeply felt. Despite their abstraction, the works carry stories embedded in their layers.  The larger works create atmosphere, while the smaller sculptures offer concentrated intensity. Together, they form a constellation of forms. Once completed, the works are released, allowing their meaning to unfold through the viewer’s own experience.
